Grady-White has been building boats since 1959 and over the decades has brought pioneering designs and innovations to the marine market.

The North Carolina builder’s latest innovation is the Freedom 415, which Grady-White says is now the largest outboard-powered dual console on the market after making its debut at the 2024 Miami International Boat Show.

With a length of 40’7” and a 13’8” beam, the Freedom 415 is a beast with quad Yamaha XTO Offshore 450 outboards hanging off the transom. The boat looks even bigger out of the water in the Miami Beach Convention Center, and shows off the company’s legendary SeaV2 hull.

Full-size aft and forward double berths provide sleeping quarters for up to four in the port console.

“This is the largest outboard power dual console boat ever built, it’s a true dual console,” said Shelley Tubaugh, Grady-White’s vice president of marketing. “The first one was the 30 (Freedom 307) and then we did the 33 (Freedom 335) and then the 37 (Freedom 375). This was our next evolution.”

Dual consoles are popular for their versatility whether it’s fishing or day cruising. Grady-White offers 10 dual-console models and drew on that experience to design the Freedom 415.

Stepping onto the Freedom 415 is a breeze thanks to port and starboard side doors that are standard. The wet bar doubles as a bait prep station and the transom includes a refrigerator/freezer box, flanked by dual raw water livewells. Additional fishing features include rod holders lining the gunwales and four rocket launchers on the hard top. To stay comfortable while watching lines, Grady-White incorporated an elevated aft facing air-conditioned padded seat that’s under the hardtop.

The helm has space for dual 22” displays and controls for amenities such as the stereo and lights.

While the hardtop and full wraparound windshield take up a substantial portion of the cockpit, Grady-White left plenty of room at the stern for fishing. Under the hardtop—which includes an electric sunroof—designers went for a relaxed layout. To port, the seating can be set up as a forward or aft-facing lounge, as two bench seats, or as a U-shaped seating area. Grady-White included a 24-inch television into the hardtop.

The helm to starboard has twin adjustable seats with footrests and armrests. The dash has room for dual 22” displays and switches to control the major functions on the boat.

The dual consoles below are surprisingly roomy with overnight space to port. Grady-White delivered a high-end experience with custom-made oak cabinets with inlays and woven seagrass cloth wall covering. Full-size aft and forward double berths provide sleeping quarters for up to four. Amenities include a 24-inch TV and a microwave.

Two teak tables can be electromechanically lowered to turn the bow into a giant sun pad.

The starboard console includes a full head locker with a shower, a vanity and a cedar-lined hanging locker. Grady-White carried over the custom features including the cabinets, a hand-hammered nickel sink and teak floors.

“A nice feature is that if someone wants to take a nap, everybody can still use the head and you’re not going in and out waking them up,” Tubaugh said.

The spacious bow is fully padded and two teak tables can be lowered to turn the area into a giant sun pad. With a four-pole easy-up bow shade to beat the midday heat, insulated coolers, cupholders and USB-C charging ports, passengers won’t be left wanting.

Loaded with standard features, including a Seakeeper 6, the Freedom 415 is a feature-rich boat that is Grady-White’s newest dual console flagship.
