The latest addition to Key West Boats’ Family Sportsman series of center consoles is the 263FS. The 263FS emphasizes more creature comforts than pure fishing. But that doesn’t mean the Ridgeville, S.C., builder is neglecting its fishing roots.
The model has twin live wells and an in-floor macerated fish box, 18 rod holders and even has horizontal storage racks under the gunwalws. It also has plush seating both in the bow and a full width couch in the stern. Standard features include a below deck windlass, power-assist steering, eight-speaker Polk stereo with amplifier and a large hard top.
The side entry door incorporates a hidden deployable ladder that is so unique it has a patent. The 263FS is available in single- or twin-engine configurations with a maximum of 600 horsepower. Key West Boats said the 263FS can run in the 40-mph range with a 300-horsepower engine.
